My thinking on digital citizenship has really changed; rather it has grown and evolved as I worked through this unit. I still believe digital citizenship should follow the Mr. Roger’s mantra: be a good neighbor. But it includes more than just being nice, polite and helpful online. Digital citizenship includes being able to use various tools to find, create, collaborate and share information. It means that one critically analyzes the information found before passing it on. A good digital citizen can use these tools and skills to be a good neighbor in the digi-verse, participate in a cause or address a social injustice.
